The Story: The Night Before Impact
Where “Among the Ashes” threw us straight into the smoking ruins of New Helsinki on Mars in 2060, “Igniting Shadows” shifts the perspective back across space and time to Old Earth, 2036.
On the windswept hill of Tähtitorninmäki overlooking Neo Helsinki, Audencia Dura stands waiting under a sky ablaze with the approach of Comet Apophis. She is joined by Peter Ares—before he became the ruthless Lord Commander of the NHRC. In the shadow of extinction, Peter reveals his transformation and makes an unforgivable choice, abandoning Audencia and their unborn child as a military transport roars into the night.
Musically, “Igniting Shadows” is a deeply emotional, atmospheric progressive synth odyssey that contrasts soaring melodic leads with crushing, apocalyptic low-end—echoing a tragedy that would shape the destiny of humanity for decades.

Act II continues to unfold. With Chapters 7 and 8 declassified, Falck and the survivors in the colonial vaults are on the verge of uncovering the true nature of his bloodline.
