The countdown that started last week just hit zero.
If Chapter 1 was the haunting memory of a world we lost, Chapter 2: Through the Breach is the sound of survival at any cost. We pick up in the final 40 seconds of William Falck’s terminal trajectory toward the NHS Manala. The “screaming silence” of the void has been replaced by the roar of emergency thrusters and the hiss of explosive bolts.
The Story: A Pilot and His Ghost
In this chapter, Falck’s survival probability is a mere 12%. To save him, the Dire Wulf AI initiates an emergency ejection sequence, separating the pilot from the machine. But something happens in that moment of separation—a “cold fire” settles into Falck’s mind as the AI crosses the digital divide.
As Falck is thrown clear in an escape pod, he watches his partner—his Robot Core—transform into a battering ram of divine judgment. The Dire Wulf hits the Manala’s hull, metal screaming as it punches a ragged wound into the side of the battlecruiser to create an entry point.
The Sound: Industrial Violence
As the sole producer behind this project, I wanted this track to feel like a hull breach. I pushed my setup in Reason to its absolute limit to capture the mechanical violence of the crash—the “bone-jarring force” of the impact and the rush of adrenaline flooding Falck’s system. This is a high-tempo, aggressive industrial anthem that pays direct homage to the weight and power I loved in Titanfall and Mechwarrior.
You’ll hear the transition from the chaotic flight to the eerie silence of the hangar bay, where Falck stands over the charred remains of his partner’s Soul Prism—cracked, empty, and extinguished.
